Small Extension Node Switch (SENS) AN/TTC-48 As part of the SEN provides wire line service for up to 26 or 41 subscribers, depending on the switch version. The SENS is deployed to support smaller CPs, such as a military intelligence battalion or engineer battalion headquarters in a division. Functional characteristics of the equipment include local secure switching and MSE network access, provisions for net radio interface and commercial interface, secure digital voice orderwire, and four configurations (V1,V2, V3 and V4). The SENS is housed in a single S-250 shelter transported on a HMMWV. The shelter contains switching, multiplexing, and communications security (COMSEC) equipment to provide secure digital communications support for a CP. Power for the shelter is provided by a PU-753/M 10-kw trailer-mounted diesel generator set.
