The Lightweight, Multipurpose Shelter (LMS) is a high strength enclosure, designed specifically for use on the HMMWV. This shelter is used as a primary electronic platform for wheeled tactical vehicles. The S-788/G (a model assigned to the LMS) has been produced in the following versions: NSN 5411-01-357-3582 W/O Tunnel (Type I) and NSN 5411-01-357-3583 W/Tunnel (Type III):
