Modern numbering system from the sixties

this change over seems to have happened in 1958. Per SM 9-5-2300 stock list of current issue items, 1958. However there seems to be a 1955 version that may have had different categorization.


  • Federal Supply Catalog (FSC) group 23
  • TM 9-2300-, seems to be a small grouping of tracked vehicles APC's, and recovery vehicles ? one of those things that seems to have been redone at some point ?? may have been all tracks, but got redone ???
  • TM 9-2310 Passenger Motor Vehicles
  • TM 9-2320 TRUCKS & TRUCK TRACTORS, WHEELED
  • TM 9-2330 Trailers
