PU-163

The PU-163/U is a compact, constantspeed, continuous-duty, electric-generating set designed to supply 115 volts, 60 cycle, single phase alternating current for shipborn radar navigation systems. It consists of a DC electric motor and an AC generator within a single frame. A speed regulating mechanism is contained in a separate housing attached to the motor end of the unit. It operates from a 230 volt DC power source.
