The Telegraph Terminal was terminal equipment for use in obtaining a full-duplex teletypewriter channel from a telephone circuit, while retaining the use of the channel for speech transmission. Its use resulted in a slight reduction in the quality of the voice channel, and a reduction of 10 to 15 percent in the maximum talking range of the circuit.
