The Battery Computer System, gun direction, AN/GYK-29V(BCS), was an automated data processor and communications terminal that interfaces directly with TACFIRE. It was the successor of the BDU. The major units of BCS are:
BCS improved firing data computation and data transmission between the fire direction center (FDC)and the guns at battery level.
